If you are informed by the Pharmacy, they are unable to obtain your medication, there are steps we have to follow:
Firstly, you as the patient are asked to check with all other local pharmacies to see if they have stock. If so please call us back so we can arrange a prescription to go to that pharmacy for the necessary items. In these circumstances we are able to raise an alternative script, the GP then will sign this electronically. This will be turned around on the same day.
At the same time the Prescription Clerks will contact Medicine Optimising Team and ask them for guidance as to alternative or the latest news on availability. This can take up to 4 working days.
