Nurse Practitioners

Advanced Nurse Practitioners are highly qualified and experienced nurses who have undertaken further education to be able to assess, diagnose, treat (including Prescribing) as appropriate and refer to both primary and secondary care colleagues. They work independently alongside the GP's at the Practice.

Nurses

Practice nurses provide assessment, treatment, screening, health education services and advice to patients. The practice nurses assist the doctors in the management chronic illness e.g. diabetes, asthma and cardiovascular disease. They are responsible for the running of the practice clinics including blood pressure, cervical smear, diabetes, asthma, travel immunisation etc. They also review patients on contraception and hormone replacement. The nurse manager works closely with the practice manager to provide the leadership and support to the nursing team in order that the nursing team deliver the appropriate service to the patients safely and efficiently.

Practice Manager

Helen is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Stephen provides direct support to the Practice Manager with all aspects of running the practice including responsibility for managing and assisting in the areas of, finances, practice management, patients, and clinical information.

Sarah is the safeguarding co-ordinator and deals with the maintenance of clinical admin and clinical database issues.

Receptionists

Our Care Navigators receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.

Prescription Clerks

If you have a query about your prescription which cannot be sorted out by the pharmacist, please speak to one of our Prescription Clerks.

Secretaries

The secretaries liaise with hospitals on behalf of you and your doctor. They can help book your appointment at hospital through the Choose and Book Service.
